Cognitive Hypnotherapy
What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy combines principles from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with hypnosis to address emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges. This integrative approach targets the unconscious mind, working with automated thoughts, actions, and emotions that are no longer in conscious awareness.
Rather than following a rigid protocol, Cognitive Hypnotherapy is tailored to each client's personal goals and needs. It views trance states as naturally occurring everyday experiences (like daydreaming) rather than something artificially induced.
How It Works
Cognitive Hypnotherapy addresses imbalances between your conscious and unconscious mind. Your conscious mind handles logical thinking, whilst your unconscious controls emotional intelligence, instincts, and habits based on past experiences.
Sessions begin with a discussion about your issue and desired outcomes. You'll then enter a light trance state (you remain fully aware and in control) whilst the therapist provides beneficial suggestions directly to your unconscious mind. This process desensitises and reprocesses dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and memories, enabling positive change.
