Studio and Stage is a structured music technology programme being developed to support grassroots musicians to build practical, real-world technical skills that underpin both recording and live performance. The programme prioritises hands-on understanding, professional workflows, and technical confidence rather than academic theory.
Many grassroots artists face financial and structural barriers to accessing music technology knowledge, despite this knowledge being essential to creative control, sustainability, and progression. This programme is being developed to address that gap by sharing industry-level expertise in an accessible, artist-centred format.
This programme focuses on demystifying music technology so artists can operate with greater control and confidence. Rather than relying on trial and error, participants develop practical skills that support better recording outcomes, more effective live preparation, and clearer technical decision-making across their practice.
WHAT YOU’LL GAIN
• A working understanding of music technology used in professional studio settings
• Practical confidence using production tools and workflows
• The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, producers, and venues
• Greater independence across recording, rehearsal, and live performance
