Kamila Almabetova

Kamila Almabetova is a Music Therapist (HCPC) and Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) with a master’s degree in music therapy from Nordoff-Robbins (2009-2011). Growing up, she studied music from childhood, but it was only when she discovered music therapy that music truly became deeply meaningful — a path through which she found purpose, connection, and healing.

Kamila integrates evidence-based music therapy with the rich traditions of her Central Asian heritage — including sound practices inspired by her nomadic ancestors, Sufi philosophy, and the healing power of song. She works with clients of all ages, including neurodivergent individuals, those with brain injuries, developmental trauma, genetic conditions, anxiety, PTSD, and more. Beyond clinical work, Kamila mentors young people exploring music therapy as a potential career, leads community projects, and trains other professionals in supporting wellbeing through music.
